
These are various materials that can be used to seal culture vessels. Dust and other debris as well as microorganisms can enter the culture vessel at the opening between the cover and the bottom.

Wrap around about 1 1/2 times; need to cover opening between cover and bottom
Unicorn vessel and roll of kitchen plastic wrap
Kitchen plastic wrap, such as "Saran Wrap" can be cut into strips or rolls and wrapped around the culture vessel.
Wrap around about 1 1/2 times; need to cover opening between cover and bottom
Parafilm can also be used.
Florist tape can be used too.
Frank Tromble puts some of his cultures in plastic ziplock bags to prevent contamination from dust, etc.
